Brian N. Larson

Mr. Larson is the president of L/SBA and is widely regarded as an expert on MLS operational and policy issues, and on issues related to the online marketing of residential real estate. He has delivered numerous presentations to associations, MLSs, and brokers regarding all these topics. He has written extensively on these subjects, and has been consulted and quoted by publications such as Inman News, Realty Times, and the Wall Street Journal.

He wrote the National Association of REALTORS implementation guide for IDX and is regarded as a leading expert on the implementation and effects of IDX, virtual office web sites, and listings syndication. MLSs and brokers regularly seek his counsel regarding the use of listing data on the Internet.

Larson has assisted MLSs in negotiating and structuring cooperative efforts among them, including data sharing agreements, IDX cooperatives, and mergers.

Larson was chief staff executive with a large regional MLS for nearly a decade and also served as communications officer for a large metropolitan association. He holds baccalaureate and juris doctor degrees.

Elizabeth S. Sobotka

Ms. Sobotka is the managing director of L/SBA and has more than 15 years of experience advising corporate clients in strategy, marketing, and operations. She has diverse consulting and management experience, specializing in financial and professional services including insurance and healthcare. Her proven areas of strength include strategy, process reengineering, and project management.

Representative engagements and projects have included:

  • Facilitated negotiations for cooperative marketing alliance between an HMO and Blue Cross plan. Project resulted in joint effort to offer a multiple option product.
  • Developed “eStrategies” for healthcare delivery and financing systems. Projects met objectives to use wireless and web-based technologies to improve operational efficiency in healthcare environments. Clients included HealthPartners (Minneapolis), Wheaton Franciscan Health System (Wheaton, IL), and Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (Princeton).
  • Provided marketing strategy and support to the healthcare division at Computer Sciences Corporation (a $500 million vertical), including e-business, outsourcing, management consulting, information technology products and services. Guided the lines of business in defining, penetrating and tracking their market segments. Jointly developed and executed marketing plans with clients.
  • Co-managed $5 million project to restructure and redesign Barnes-Jewish Hospital Medical Center, resulting in $60 million savings over three years. Project team comprised 30 consultants, medical center managers and physicians.
